Q. What is InstaFire?
A. InstaFire is made from a patented blend of recycled wood, inert minerals and paraffin wax. This patented formula is what makes InstaFire easy to light and stay lit even under extreme conditions. InstaFire is also safe to store, outdoors or in, even next to food.
Q. How can I use InstaFire?
A. InstaFire is versatile with a wide-variety of uses. It will light charcoal briquettes, dry or damp firewood or perform as a standalone fuel source. Whether roughing it in the wilderness or relaxing at home, Instafire is perfect when wanting to stay warm, dry and fed.
Q. Why do I need InstaFire?
A. If you ever need a fire to keep dry, warm or fed, then you will want InstaFire. It easily lights, even in inclement weather. It also an optimal solution for storing emergency fuel for a rainy day. With a shelf life of 30 years, InstaFire eliminates the need to rotate fuel every few years or worry about local flammable storage ordinances.
Q. How much fire can InstaFire produce?
A. On the average, InstaFire can produce a 12–16 inch flame for 15-30 minutes, depending on conditions and amount used..
Q. How fast does it light?
A. Lighting InstaFire takes ½ to1 second, depending on the humidity and type of match or lighter used. It lights much like an ordinary candle.
Q. Is InstaFire dangerous; can it explode?
A. InstaFire is NOT a combustible fuel, and therefore, there is no risk of explosions.
Q. Does InstaFire produce toxic fumes?
A. InstaFire does NOT contain any harmful chemicals or vapors, including Benzene.
Q. Will InstaFire work if it gets wet?
A. Instafire is water resistant; it will work if it gets wet. It even lights and burns while floating on top of water.
Q. Can I extinguish InstaFire and then re-use it?
A. Yes, you can smother the fire and then reuse InstaFire when needed.
Q. Does InstaFire burn in the wind?
A. While lighting InstaFire in the wind, you will need to shield it; however InstaFire will burn in up to 30 M.P.H. winds once lit.
Q. How quickly will InstaFire boil water?
A. InstaFire will boil 2 cups of water uncovered in approximately 15 minutes.
Q. Is there an odor?
A. Yes, a light, refreshing scent.
Q. Can I cook with InstaFire?
A. Of course! Anything you could cook over an open flame can be cooked with InstaFire.
Q. If my fire is going out can I add more to it?
A. Yes, you can add more InstaFire to any fire as long as you don’t smother the flame when adding more product. If you do, simply relight. ?
Shipping Rates (Domestic)
Shipping to the lower 48 states is based on weight and is automatically calculated at the time you place your order. You will see the shipping charges displayed on your checkout page. You can also click the Calculate Shipping button while viewing the items in your shopping cart.
Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii
We regret that we do not ship buckets of InstaFire to Alaska or Hawaii. To maximize your shipping value in shipping to these locations, we have developed the following special sizes of InstaFire Firestarter pouches:
- -10 burnable pouches (Traveler) Retail $10.95, Shipping $5.30 + $2.00 per order.
- -30 burnable pouches (Trekker) Retail $24.95, Shipping $11.35 + $4.00 per order.
Example: Purchasing 2 Traveler packs will cost $10.95 + $10.95 (retail) and $5.30 + $5.30 (shipping) + $2.00 + $2.00 (shipping surcharge / insurance). Shipping then totals $14.60 and retail totals $21.90, for a grand total of $36.50.
International Shipping
We regret that we do not ship buckets of InstaFire internationally. We can ship InstaFire Traveler (10 burnable pouches) to select countries. All international rates are in US Dollars($).
Shipping to Canada and Mexico:
- -10 burnable pouches (Traveler) Retail $10.95, Shipping $12.95 + $2.00 per order.
Example: Purchasing 2 Traveler packs will cost $10.95 + $10.95 (retail) and $12.95 + $12.95 (shipping) + $2.00 + $2.00 (shipping surcharge / insurance). Shipping then totals $29.90 and retail totals $21.90, for a grand total of $51.80.
Other International shipping:
We are able to ship to the following countries: New Zealand, South Africa, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Australia, China, Haiti, Chile, and Japan for the following rate:
- -10 burnable pouches (Traveler) Retail $10.95, Shipping $16.95 + $2.00 per order.
Example: Purchasing 2 Traveler packs will cost $10.95 + $10.95 (retail) and $16.95 + $16.95 (shipping) + $2.00 + $2.00 (shipping surcharge / insurance). Shipping then totals $37.90 and retail totals $21.90, for a grand total of $59.80.

Shipping Timeline
All retail orders should be fulfilled and shipped within 72 business hours. We ship most orders via UPS Ground. For larger orders we may ship via UPS Freight.
Estimated arrival times are 1-5 business days from the day your order ships.
Typically an email is sent out with Tracking Information when your package is shipped from the warehouse.

Returning or Exchanging Items
You can return or exchange your unopened item by mail within 30 days of the original purchase.
Any damaged or incorrect items will be replaced.

Please include a copy of your receipt, invoice or gift packing list, or if you no longer have one of these, a letter with the following information:

- Order Number
- Address

- Email Address
- When and by whom the purchase was made
- Reason for the return

Q. Who can submit a review?
A. We encourage you to submit your honest feedback on your InstaFire purchases. Anyone who has purchased an item can submit a review for the product. Just find the item you want to review and click “Add Review”.
Q. Do all reviews get published?
A. No. We won’t publish reviews that contain offensive material, have specific pricing references, use inappropriate tags, are irrelevant to the product or are not written in English.
Q. I submitted a review several days ago. Why is it not appearing on the site?
A. A moderator reads all reviews for appropriateness prior to publication. Please allow up to 5 business days for your review to be approved and published.

Terms and Conditions for InstaFire Gift Certificates
- Gift Certificates can be purchased at InstaFire.com or via phone from InstaFire at 1-866-206-9876.
- Coupons may not be used to purchase gift certificates.
- No taxes are charged on the purchase of gift certificates. Applicable taxes are charged when the gift certificates are redeemed.
- Gift certificates can be redeemed only for future purchases of merchandise at InstaFire.com or via phone at 1-866-206-9876.
- Upon redeeming your gift certificate, if your purchase exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, you will need to pay the balance. (When redeeming online or by telephone, this balance must be paid by credit card.)
- Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash and are not refundable if lost or stolen.
- When redeeming gift certificates, any unused balance will be available for future purchases.
